Mrs. Wyatt's English Class
Language Arts
Spelling - We will be starting unit 6 this month. The lists are attached on the English documents page. Each Monday students will bring home a list of words that need to be categorized by their root word, they need to turn these in Friday. Just a reminder that every student is assigned a specific amount of words to practice.
Spelling tests are given every Friday.

Reading
At the end of March you should have seen a book report information packet.
Each term there will be a genre themed book report. This term is Biography/Autobiography. This term students will participate in a class wax museum. Each student needs to pick someone famous to read about and become for the wax museum. We will have our museum on May 30th, students must come prepared with their display and costumes.
This terms book report is due May 30th.
The reading menu is the other part of how we monitor student reading each month. Students need to pick one novel each month with in the book report requirements. They need to pick an activity for each section (Appetizers, Main Course, and Desserts) and fill out the back of the menu, using details from their book. Menu's are due the last Friday of each month.
This month's reading menu is due April 27th.
Math
We will be starting perimeter and area. Please practice with your student at home, with the help of the math websites or the My Math website.
Ms. Zhou's Chinese Class
Chinese
We have finished all Chinese stories for this year. For the following weeks, we will review each unit, and grade 1-4 Chinese characters.

Science
We will do research on Utah amphibians and reptiles. In Mrs. Wyatt's class, students will have 30 minutes to do the animal report. And the report will be homework if it is not finished in class. Animal reports are due on the following Mondays. Please encourage students to turn in the animal report on time to get full credits. In Ms. Zhou's class, kids will do a Chinese poster and a presentation about their assigned animal.
